Franklin Fine Homes is owned and operated by William Cody Franklin. Cody was born and raised just outside of Ames and attended Gilbert schools growing up. At a young age, Cody began tinkering and building things with his father and fell in love with the trades. He became immersed in the trades after high school graduation when he realized that skiing and biking in Utah wasn’t going to pay the bills. Cody began his career with a second generation tile layer who educated him on the art of setting tile as well as staying within the strict Utah building codes. Cody spent several years learning and perfecting his tile installation and woodworking techniques before taking on major projects of his own.

Cody found himself doing additions, remodels, painting, decks, finish work, concrete counter tops and many other forms of Construction. His broad knowledge of construction was formed by having the chance to see how practices vary from area to area. Since then, Cody has both contracted and co-contracted specialty projects spanning from California to Massachusetts. After accepting invitations to learn the trades in other states, Cody decided in 2014 that it was time to return home to the Heartland.
