New Kind of “Charcoal” for Green Egg Smoker

Outdoor Concrete Kitchen by Bruce Sullivan | Concrete Exchange

Bruce Sullivan founded Sullivan Custom Stoneworks in 1999 and has since crafted hundreds of works of art in stone to enhance the beauty and functionality of Maine homes and landscapes. The clients of this outdoor kitchen project, located amidst the majestic backdrop of lush forest, wanted a stone grill, smoker, and a burner for boiling lobsters (for which Maine is famous). The Green Egg Smoker is the main feature and gets treated with a different kind of charcoal—in this case, a concrete countertop surround made of CHENG Outdoor Pro-Formula in the most popular Charcoal color.According to Bruce, Outdoor Pro-Formula in Charcoal was selected for the concrete countertop because it naturally complements the mixed, native granite, stainless steel appliances and highlights the smoker quite well. Though Sullivan Custom Stone can create various projects like fireplaces, walls, and walkways, for this project, Bruce proudly explains, “All work done by one guy…and a tractor!”
