CHENG Outdoor Pro-Formula is available in customer favorites: Charcoal, Sand, Saddle, Stone, Amber and Platinum. It is also offered in Base which can be used with CHENG Base Pigments for a complete custom coloring system.

Will these colors fade outside? No, CHENG Pro-Formula mixes are blended using the highest quality synthetic oxide pigments which are fade-resistant and do not wash away when exposed to exterior conditions.

Q4. What is the difference between Outdoor Pro-Formula and Countertop Pro-Formula?

CHENG Outdoor Pro-Formula is the same high-performance formulation you've trusted for years in the Concrete Countertop Pro-Formula line—but with a twist. While Concrete Countertop Pro-Formula can be used as a pour-in-place, it was specifically developed for pre-cast projects and offers a superbly dense, smooth surface. Outdoor Pro-Formula is specifically blended with built-in climate flexibility for either pre-cast or pour-in-place exterior projects.

Thanks to the new formulation, Outdoor Pro-Formula withstands all types of weather conditions. It includes ingredients that increase the concrete’s resistance to cracking and breaking away from the surface, or “spawling,” which can often occur in exterior installations. With built-in “shock absorbers,” Outdoor Pro-Formula projects will expand and contract with temperature fluctuations, dramatically increasing the life and maintaining the beauty of your outdoor concrete projects. Regardless of whether you live in a northern climate, where deep freezes are common or under the hot desert sun with scorching temperatures, Outdoor Pro-Formula holds up to the wear and tear of these extreme conditions.

Can I use it indoors? Yes, CHENG Outdoor Pro-Formula is perfectly safe to use indoors—however, we strongly recommend Concrete Countertop Pro-Formula for indoor projects. The expanded line of colors and higher density make the Concrete Countertop Pro-Formula better suited for interior use.

Q5. What Sealer can I use with Outdoor Pro-Formula?

CHENG Sealer can be used outdoors, but plan on re-sealing seasonally for optimum performance as the sealer will wear down much more quickly outdoors than indoors.

We don’t recommend the CHENG Sealer for floors, sidewalks and patios as it was not designed for flatwork applications. There are many available concrete floor sealers on the market, (see Interstar’s concrete floor sealer) that are formulated for high traffic.

Q6. I’m a professional. Can I install this in commercial, high-traffic environments?
